Sunday Night Slow Jams Expands in Oklahoma!

Mooreland, OK: This Sunday night, 104.5 KZZW in Mooreland joins WiLD 104.9 in Oklahoma City and 92.1 The Beat in Tulsa as the destination for America’s #1 Weekend Show: Sunday Night Slow Jams with R Dub! The popular Sunday night love songs and dedications show is now winning on over 175 radio stations across America, and now, with the addition of KZZW, almost completely blankets the entire state of Oklahoma.

R Dub! said, “I’m so happy to be a part of the winning team at KZZW and to be able to serve the listeners of Mooreland and surrounding communities. Special thanks to Brooke Williams and Sean Kelly for having me on as part of their team. I’m looking forward to being partners for many years to come.”

Oklahoma is no stranger to R Dub! and his Sunday Night Slow Jams: Tulsa affiliate KTBT was the first radio station, outside of R Dub!’s hometown of Tucson, Arizona, to pick up the show. The program made its syndication debut on KTBT more than 15 years ago, and still brings in #1 ratings across the board every Sunday night.

President of Benztown Radio Networks, Dave “Chachi” Denes said, “We’re looking forward to closing out the entire state of Oklahoma this quarter. Every station in Oklahoma that runs Slow Jams absolutely annihilates their competition…completely destroys them. I don’t know what it is with the connection between Sunday Night Slow Jams and Oklahoma, but it’s clearly something special.”

And Dave isn’t exaggerating. Jet Black is the former PD of KHTT-Tulsa, and recalls the days he was managing the station across the street from where Sunday Night Slow Jams was playing…

“I remember talking with my GM and we literally contemplated turning the transmitter off on Sunday nights to save electricity because no one was listening to us. No one. Everyone was listening to Sunday Night Slow Jams on the competition. We hated that!”

Sunday Night Slow Jams debuts on 104.5 KZZW Sunday night, March 3rd, airing from 8PM until midnight.
