Silver City, NM: Station KNUW, known locally as 95.1 The Mixx, is just the latest New Mexico station to wrangle in the number-one rated Sunday Night Slow Jams radio show with R Dub!, as the station announced it would be carrying the program starting April 21st.
KNUW is the 176th affiliate to join the Sunday Night Slow Jams family and the tenth station in New Mexico alone, joining markets like Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Santa Fe and Roswell who have been winning with the show for years. Some of those stations, like Hot 103 in Las Cruces and Kiss 97.3 in Albuquerque have been with the show pushing two decades.
R Dub!, Host and Creator of Sunday Night Slow Jams said, “I’ve always had a special place in my heart for New Mexico, ever since I passed through Albuquerque by train as a tot. I remember exploring for a little bit while the train was stopped for the afternoon. I remember I thought New Mexico was magic. I didn’t wanna go. I can’t wait to spend some time with our new listeners in Silver City. I’m so happy we have a home in Silver City now!”
Mark Wilson, VP of Affiliate Relations for R Dub!’s Fusion Radio Networks, brokered the deal and said, “KNUW is a welcome addition to our family of New Mexico station partners. Although Sunday Night Slow Jams has affiliates across all the US regions, it got its start in the Southwest. It’s always nice to build further on that original foundation.”
President of Benztown Radio Networks, Dave “Chachi” Denes said, “Slow Jams connects with listeners unlike any other program I’ve heard. Their passion and engagement transcends to incredible ratings.”
