WBMX 1043 JAMS in Chicago is just the latest Illinois radio station to add Sunday Night Slow Jams with R Dub! to their on-air lineup, as Benztown officially closes out the state.

“The word is out,” said Mark Wilson, VP of Affiliate Relations for Fusion Radio Networks, a Benztown partner. “Slow Jams is landing in every market and the station that has it wins. End of story. We’re wrapping up the Midwest and helping stations deliver unprecedented ratings!”

And Wilson’s words come with merit, as double-digit shares continue to pour in, book after book, for the popular Slow Jams and dedications show.

The addition to 1043 JAMS is especially meaningful to R Dub!, who was born in Chicago.

The Sunday Night Slow Jams host and creator said, “I am so extremely elated to be able to finally be on the air in my hometown, my birthplace! It is such an honor and privilege to work alongside Todd Cavanah, Erik Bradley and the rest of the JAMS staff…what an incredible radio station! Now my family in Chicago can finally listen to me on local radio!”

Anais Castillo
, 32, of Cicero said, via Facebook, “I’m such a faithful listener to Sunday Night Slow Jams! I used to have to hear it online, but now I can listen on my favorite radio station. This news made my whole year!” Castillo said she’s been listening to R Dub! since 2010.

Slow Jams connects with listeners unlike any other program I’ve heard.” said Dave “Chachi” Denes, president of Benztown Radio Networks. “These incredible new affiliates take Sunday Night Slow Jams’ incomparable music programming to big radio markets that will no doubt love what they hear. It’s been a thrill to partner with R Dub! to bring Sunday Night Slow Jams to new audiences as the demand for this true destination listening experience continues to increase. This year’s affiliate additions in major markets including New York, San Francisco and Chicago bring new energy and excitement to the program and – along with all 204 stations currently airing the show – make the U.S. officially a ‘Slow Jams Nation!’”
