Now Playing: Louis York – Slow Motion

Louis York is the creation of multi-Grammy nominated songwriting and production duo Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony. With a discography that covers everything from Pop, R&B, Gospel, and Country, they’ve created for icons like Michael & Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion; Chart toppers Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus; R&B Divas Fantasia, Ledisi, Jazmine Sullivan, K. Michelle; gospel’s Le’Andria Johnson and Jonathan McReynolds and more. In 2015, they created their label Weirdo Workshop and when stepping behind the mic for the first time in their careers, they threw out every rule the business has told them to follow. It doesn’t matter how long, how many transitions or how many genres, Kelly and Harmony found themselves searching for one thing, and one thing alone – GREAT ART. As self-proclaimed “Weirdos” (an affectionate name they and their followers call themselves), Louis York has pushed the envelope with their music to include themes of love, acceptance, social awareness that culminated into an EP trilogy called Masterpiece Theater: Act I, Act II, Act III. Their first song “Clair Huxtable,” an ode to black women quickly became a fan favorite along with other releases “Things I Should Have Said,” “Slow Motion,” “Don’t Play,” and many others. They’ve played in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Atlanta packing venues leaving attendees in amazement with their creativity, energy and stage presence always wanting more. Later in 2018, Louis York will release their debut album Deep Fried Veggies in the Fall.

Now Playing: Daniel Caesar

Daniel Caesar has been nominated for two Grammy Awards this year: Best R&B Album for his debut album Freudian, and Best R&B Performance for his record “Get You”.
“Get You” has 122+ million streams and 39+ million global YouTube views.

You can hear “Get You” on Sunday Night Slow Jams, now airing in over 140 cities around the world.

Born in Toronto, Ontario in 1995, Canadian singer/songwriter Daniel Caesar launched his musical career in 2015, slowly releasing tracks online, ranging in styles from acoustic pop fare to soul songs bathed in ambient electronics. Early singles included collaborations with renowned live hip-hop/rock hybridists BADBADNOTGOOD. Following several self-released online EPs, Daniel Caesar releases his single “Get You,” featuring vocalist Kali Uchis, which became massively popular, garnering millions of plays and video views within a relatively short span of time. Following the enormous exposure of “Get You,” Caesar began performing live more frequently in order to quell the newfound demand for his music. Work on new tracks continued between his concert and festival appearances, and 2017 brought more well-received material: his debut album Freudian.

Uganda – July 13

We’re currently raising funds to build our second well in rural Uganda for the Aminit Border Village. R Dub will be traveling to Uganda in July to dedicate the new well and you’re invited!

View the current fundraising campaign HERE.

In some of the neediest areas of Uganda, Hope 4 Kids International volunteer teams impact the lives of thousands of children by drilling wells, constructing medical clinics, establishing feeding programs, distributing provisions to orphans, creating ministries for economic growth, and delivering medical/dental supplies. Teams have the opportunity to indulge in the rich culture and majestic beauty of the country by interacting with inhabitants of village communities and touring on an optional safari excursion. We balance the mission experience between community outreach and culture-immersive opportunities throughout the trip. Trips are designed to best fit the individual skills of the group. We identify what YOU are most passionate about and give you the opportunity to live out that passion!

Relation of Opportunity to National Church and/or Long-term Goals

Before Hope 4 Kids begins serving in an area, we identify and establish a relationship with an existing ministry. Hope 4 Kids has been serving in Uganda for over 10 years.

San Diego – August 26

For years, R Dub’s friend, Xavier The X-Man, has been organizing his annual car show to benefit children with cancer. It started with only a few participants and now has grown to hundreds of vehicles and thousands of spectators.

It gets bigger every year, which means more money is raised for the Emilio Nares Foundation, a non-profit organization in San Diego that helps kids and their families battling cancer.

I personally would like to invite you to be a part of Xavier The X-Man’s 16th Cruise for the Cause Car & Bike Show at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.

It’s a great family event and it’s open to the public. It will feature a huge car & bike show. I’m inviting every one to join us! Classic cars, Lowriders, Hot Rods, Tuners/imports, Bikes, Customs, VWs,SUV’s, Trucks and Motorcycles. Please spread the word about this year’s car show!

Remember, you don’t need to be into cars to help save a life. Please spread the word about this years’ Cruise For The Cause Car & Bike Show, I really need your help to make this a success. The more people who donate blood & join the National Bone Marrow Registry, the more lives we can save.
